Is your new iPad perfect?

If you're asking about "perfection" then no, I have a slight light leak under the bezel. It's only viewable at extreme angles though.

Me too. If I'm looking at the iPad at a pretty crazy angle. Then yeah, a really bright light is shining out of it.

For me, I don't really care, but would some people return it on that basis??

I'm a pretty satisfied customer here, then again I didn't put my iPad under a microscope and spend four hours looking for a defect. I'm completely happy with it :)

No issues with mine. I have not tested the Verizon service though. I really don't need the cell service right now so I don't want to toss $20 bucks out the door just to test it.

So far it's perfect. I did the pixel test posted yesterday. No yellow tint whatsoever. I'm pretty picky too.

wow - what a great use for a poll..puts to rest all the threads you can read here that the sky is falling...Steve is happy....Nice Job Tim & Co....

Mine seems to function perfectly, however, there's a couple rough spots along the edge of the aluminum casing. I know it's not a big deal, though it is easily noticeable. Not sure if I should bother taking it back or not.

My new iPad's screen is warmer than my iPad 1&2, but now I think iPad 1&2 was just cooler (color temp). I'm liking the warmer screen and NO, it's not a defect.

It's warm when I'm using it but not when charging. Isn't it normal for it to be warm when in use? Like a computer?

I exchanged mine because of dead pixels and yellow screen. The replacement is perfect! I love this iPad, well until the new model is released. :D

Update: I just noticed a dead pixel. :( I'm running a dead pixel repair. Hopefully that takes care of it. If not I will exchange it in a few weeks. Not a deal breaker, just disappointed.

For all of us who got iPad 2s early in its product life, the launch of the iPad 3 and the lack of widespread quality control issues with it has been a pleasant surprise.

If you read the first page of posts you would think the newiPad is crap. This poll seems to suggest otherwise. I think Apple did a great job.

Not to jinx myself, but mine seems pretty perfect. I don't appear to have any issues but I'm not inspecting each pixel with a magnifying glass.

Now excuse me while I go purchase AppleCare+!

Especially since people here tend to be more critical of the physical flaws than an average Joe.
