There's not a big difference between The Verge & Engadget. I've compared them side by side in two different browsers. The Verge is a bit more colorful, Engadget tends to have more dialog updated a bit more frequently.

I remember for past apple events a number of people would be streaming live from the event (albeit against apple rules) and I would find them on ustream or other such sites. Why isn't this the case anymore?

Supposedly TWiT is going to be acting it out and following all the live blogs. They have a video cast at live.twit.tv. They said as the event is going on that they will cut to someone doing a re-enactment in their studio since no one is allowed to rebroadcast the actual event. Might be fun to watch I think.

I've been using Engadget since WWDC '10. I wasn't really into the new layout they changed to a while back, but it has grown on me... I ALWAYS use Engadget :D

There is a user on Ustream 'claiming' they WILL have a live feed on Wednesday.

I messaged him (via iPad app) and he replied, and I quote - "we have experience in obtaining feeds"

Here's a screen shot of the app, with my message and his reply, at the bottom:

I usually have Engadget and Verge open at the same time. I stick with one but if the updates get infrequent or it gets buggy, then flip over to the other.

Same here.

I usually keep up with The Verge but I'll fall back to Engadget if I need to.

I usually do engadget on one monitor and MR Live on the other. however I may check out the verge since everyone recommends it. I try to read the verge but I hate the layout of 10,000 stories all boxed together at the top of the page. I would read them more often if they went to an engadget style view.
