Who has two iPad pros?

I switched from one 9.7” Pro to two 11” Pros.

One is my daily driver and the other one is used to keep my wife away from my iPad.

I don’t do any classroom teaching... I’m 100 percent online, 1 on 1. So that’s why I lean on the iPads so heavily. I’m a lawyer by trade, but not practicing. I prepare students to take the LSAT and the bar exam.

Interesting. I am moving in that direction too. I am doing a lot of online tutoring these days as a side job and hope to make that a full time job in the future. I have been using my iPad and zoom as the main meeting platform. I also use keynote live on occasion.

It depends on how I have my students— if it’s through a particular company, I use their proprietary platform. If it is through the little company started by one of my law school classmates, I just use FaceTime or Skype or Google Hangouts and a browser-based whiteboard. I haven’t ever looked at zoom— does it have a whiteboard in the free subscription?

I use a paid subscription - it’s relatively inexpensive I believe. The small private tutoring group I am working with pays for it. The collaborative white board is great. There are some other nifty features too.

12.9 for magazine reading. Feels almost like reading the real thing. And a Magster subscription deal has saved me heaps on buying magazines 🙂

11" used at work for note taking. Better than paper now I've worked out an app and workflow that suits my needs (NoteShelf 2).

I have both sizes of the 2nd generation. I use them side by side to have more room to work on. Often using one as a reference monitor or to run two instances of the same app. I use Universal Clipboard and AirDrop to send info between the two iPads. Attached is a photo of my desk setup. I have a Bluetooth keyboard that lets me quickly jump between the 2 iPads.

I have to figure out Airdrop between 2 tablets. Works with iPhone to iPad....

MIne is setup similarity too. I have 12.9s 2015 & 2018. I have them side by side. I have a Logitech keyboard below them on a roll out keyboard shelf (it can switch between 3 devices). I have been using my old one for email and browsing, but I am trying to do more browsing on the new one. Chrome keeps updating every tab with the old one. So it probably is showing it’s life with doing a lot of heavy browsing etc.

I am using them like when I had dual monitors on my computer. By the way, these are my computer. I am doing graphic design primarily on the new one. I like being able to browse thru my files or see what I am making on my older one, while working on the new one.

I am not planning on getting rid of my old one, they will only give me about $300 for it, I can’t replace it for that price. It is more useful to me now anyways. Also if for some reason, one of my kids wanted to use it for drawing etc - I will give it to them....

If I could afford two - I would go 12.9 for home use and 11 for outside.

But going to stick to 11

9.7 pro and new 11 pro

Used for work and entertainment. Gave the 9.7 to the wifey to replace her mini retina from 2013.

I own 5 but only use 3 at a time at home. The 3 are attached to a microphone stand.

I carry 2 iPads to the office, 2015 12.9” and the new 2018 12.9”.

I’m considering another 2018 12.9”. It’s a great machine.
