Who here is sticking with 3GS over iPhone 4.

PLEASE NOTE: This thread is not meant to discuss the issues of the iP4. Do NOT post about issues/etc that you are currently having.

How many people are sticking with their 3GS over the iP4? Would like to hear from people who bought an iP4 and are going to use their 3GS and/or return the iP4. If you're just not purchasing the iP4, you can post here as well. :)

I have the ability to own an iP4 but I'm not sure if I actually want it or should stick with my 3GS 32GB.
 
If you don't want it. Just go ahead and get the iPhone 4 anyways and sell it on ebay for $750.

My dad's 3GS works fine with iOS 4 installed, it's actually speedy as hell. But I still like the iPhone 4 more. Beautiful phone

But if you want a high res screen, and take 720p video and quality photos, get the iPhone 4 and sell the 3GS Unlocked and Jailbroken (Don't install 3.1.3 or 4.0) on ebay for $450 (that's how much I got for it).

So basically you're wasting your precious time replying to my thread saying that you have the ability to use the search, to try and what exactly.. look like a better person?

How about you search "forum troll".

I don't own an iP4 yet and would rather see how many people actually took the plunge and went back before making my decision. I'm sorry, is that too hard for you to comprehend?

That's all you could come up with? Really?

My time isn't precious. I just got off work and use this time to look through MR and find the interesting threads to post in..... after I'm done doing that I find the stupid ones which brings me to this thread. It's actually in MR rules to not re-post thread topics. Just trying to help the n00b follow the rules. Just saying.

That's not being a troll. He posted the threads that already discuss what you were asking. I'd say that's being a Forum Helper.

Actually, he's giving you 2 good advices here:

1. Stop being such an indecisive person and be more independent.
2. Learn how to start new threads by searching the forums first to see if the same topic hasn't already started by someone else.

aggie knows! When I was new I re-posted a topic.... got reamed for it too. I of course reacted in my usual f-you attitude. Now that I am "older and wiser ;)" I have learned the folly of my ways. I now wish to spread that knowledge to others. :D

I know I'm a sarcastic ass but I just found out it's not cool to live in your mothers basement, looking at porn and playing WoW all the time! Plus they're going to start making us use our "real" names in the forums and Waldo Eugene Howard isn't as cool as M4g3M4st3r!;)

For reals now.... It's tough seeing post after post of people asking folks on forums about what decision they should make. It's YOUR life and we couldn't possibly know what's best for you. The 3gs is a hell of a phone and if you don't want to/financially can't/don't need to upgrade then don't. No need to solicit others reaction. Sorry I was mean to you. Ok not really but if you are able to upgrade I say go for it. You have 30 days to return the i-4 if you're not happy. Not every one has issues with the 4, I certainly don't.
 
I am eligible for an upgrade but I am going to stick with my 3GS at least for another year. I am happy with it and don't feel the need to upgrade right now.
 
I'm not eligible for the upgrade price until next February, and I think I'll probably be fine waiting until then. The 3gs is great and suits my daily needs. The iPhone 4 seems like it still has some issues that need to be worked out that will hopefully be worked out by next February. For example, the confusion with the reception bars, and also that many Apps haven't updated their icons yet so when placed next to the HD icons on a retina display, they look awful. Facetime seems intriguing, but none of the people that I would Facetime with have an iPhone 4 yet, so there's no rush there either.
 
I have no plans to upgrade to the iPhone 4. While there have been some improvements, I was very disappointed that Apple did not increase the storage capacity. I'm almost out of space. I'll upgrade to whatever smartphone (iPhone 5, Droid) breaks the 32GB ceiling.
 
Sticking with the 3GS until the bugs are worked out of the iPhone 4. Only issue I have with the 3GS is the battery lasts less than a day. Could really use the 40% increase with the iPhone 4, but I'll wait for the next iteration before upgrading.

And absolutely no plans to look at any Droid/Palm/whatever phone. Too happy with the iPhone to leave it. :D
 
I like both phones. I have a 32GB iPhone 4. I sold my 32GB 3GS last week and am having a new 8GB 3GS delivered today. The features that the 3GS doesn't have on 4.0 I have never used anyways on my iPhone 4.

When the white 4 comes out, I'm upgrading my third line to get it. :)
 
I'm sticking with my 3GS for the time being. I will eventually upgrade to the iPhone 4 when the white is released. But for now, I'm completely happy with my 3GS running iOS 4.
 
I had a 32gb 3GS and sold it, now use a 32 iP4 and I plan to sell it too.... When the white iP4 comes out and just upgrade my dads line. I pay for his line only to use his upgrades lol. He's happy with his BB Bold. My wife, my few friends and myself with the the 4 have never had any issues. I think it was well worth the upgrade for the camera/flash and video alone.
 
I sold my 3GS for $400. I am buying a 3GS for $250 in mint condition and returning the iPhone 4. It isn't worth the two year commitment. Did it occur to all the iPhone 4 owners that AT&T will make you ride out your contract this time. At $325 they can afford to.

Well the ETF drops $10 every month you keep the service and did it occur to you that there are a lot of people without an issues?
 
I was all set on buying an iPhone 4 until I used one at the Apple Store. Thing can barely load web pages over 3G while holding it in your hand. I'll stick with my 3GS and not extend my contract. I smell Verizon around the corner anyway.

so many people are returning this phone

I think all the polls combined we have almost 10 people confirmed that have taken it back or are really considering making a thread about how they're gonna do it
