I'm not. I'm in my comfy clothes on the couch. Ordered mine online. Delivery tomorrow. :D

But who is at an :apple: Store right this minute waiting in line? What's it like? Are there promotional companies giving away t-shirts?

At 12 noon in San Francisco there were like about 15 people camped out in line today. The tourist was like

Definitely glad I pre-ordered. Would not want to be one of those guys lining up now.

My apologies and sympathy to anyone that responds in the affirmative.

Ha me too. So glad I stayed up late to get my preorder through. Did the same thing last year for the 4S. I played the waiting game for the i4 and had a horrible time

I'm in the Oct 5 club, iOS 6 on my 4S can hold me over until then. :D

Will suck to have to wait, but I'd take a 10/5 order over standing in line.....actually never mind I'd stand in line....just glad I don't have to

I'm planning to get there at 6am and have no issues.

Aside from waiting an hour for everyone in front of me to check out

I have waited in the past, it is a fun experience, but it sure has worn off in recent years. The original iPhone was great, same with the iPad, but now that I have it out of my system, I'll just wait on my couch. ;)

Yea that's my thinking. Got tired of it and letting UPS handle it is much easier

I couldn't imagine camping out all night for the phone. I got in line around 5am for the iPad 2. I wouldn't even wake up at 3am to pre-order. I ordered at 11:30am on Friday during lunch and still getting it delivered tomorrow by 3pm. :D

where did you order from exactly?

Iphone 5 for sale at Apple Store NOW

in Sydney and Melbourne Australia. It's 8:45 a.m. Friday there and the doors are open.

Holy ****, what is the point of this threads!?

Roll call of people having fun out there then some people here will have the Samsung bully like hypocritical attitude as if it is something to be ashamed of - there are something we enjoy or thought to be fun doing in life that others may find ridiculous.

Disclaimer: I never fall in long lines for any product. I am planning to do that someday (if I am off at work & weather is good) just to piss off Samsung and the iHaters. And it sounds like it's fun especially if it means more sleepless nights for Samsung people. Lol

I heard people are paying folks to stay in line for them :)

I picked up both my 3G and 4 at the apple store on launch day in Washington and there were multiple people trolling the lines with wads of cash wanting to buy places in line. I was offered $200, then $400. I was seriously debating the $400, since it would buy my phone, when the guy upped it to $800 and the person behind me jumped on the chance really fast!

Everyone within a few spaces mouths' dropped, and someone said something like "you are going to pay $800 dollars to take someone's spot in line to spend another $300-$500. Seriously??"

I heard from someone later that the store didn't even run out of stock till 5 pm. Meaning if the idiot had just joined the line he probably would have received a phone.

Right. Your standing in a line that you don't really want to stand in (just to spite others) will surely teach them a lesson.
