Simple Mobile by T-Mobile. Shows 'TFW' on the label (Tracfone Wireless) though, and if you plug the SIM into an unlocked Galaxy S5, it shows 'Verizon Wireless' up top. Apparently, any of Tracfone or other MVNOs default to Verizon or AT&T regardless of the actual carrier. Red map on box and all.

Odd bonus, while AT&T killed their EDGE (2G) network back in 2016, T-Mobile still has an EDGE tower near me, at a junkyard I visit. It can make calls on it but no data. Tower must just be 'on' but nobody home. Dad before he died in 2016 was able to keep using an iPhone 2G via T-Mobile. No text, no data but he only used it for voice and wifi for Safari.

Still, unlimited talk, text, and DATA, $25/ month, and the iPhone 6S costs $149, great no-contract deal.

Does Globe still have better coverage and speed than Smart in Metro Manila? My parents will be traveling there soon.

No idea about Manila as I spend most if not all my time in Cebu.

Coverage in Cebu is better with globe but speeds are usually better with smart their.

Been with AT&T since it was Cingular back in the day. Was pretty sweet that the iPhone first came to AT&T... didn't have to switch.

No love for Sprint. Is it that bad?
My cubicle mate had Sprint and was limited to 3G CDMA of around 1Mbps. That was a couple years ago though. Needless to say, I haven't been tempted to try Sprint's network. Besides they make it pretty hard to try their network what with locking SIM cards to devices and only allowing whitelisted devices.

T-Mobile, I started trying when they had the free 200MB for tablets.

Coverage and speeds vary greatly based on location though so definitely a YMMV situation.

Verizon since 2009 , currently on the “above unlimited” plan because grandfathered unlimited cost $60 more.. save money when i can 🤷‍♂️

Verizon for over a decade. Service is pretty good, but I've always thought they were overpriced especially considering the limitations they put on you.

My Plan:
  • 1 Smartphone: START UNLIMITED - $65
  • 1 Smartphone: GET MORE UNLIMITED - $86
  • 1 Apple Watch - $14

Total monthly bill: $165

Interesting thread, needing more data went into
Vodafone l told him how much data would 20 Euro buy me. I'm English in Germany he rights down 4
I tell him l'm getting 5gb for 13 Euro now.
He then tried to sell me an iPhone, so I show him my shiny iPhone 8 Plus in a leather case. I'm thinking to myself just because I look poor and old I am not stupid. I stayed with my present data supplier, special offer. New year 20 for 25 Euro and I can cancel it monthly. They are called Drillish or Web. De or something.

Have sucked and always will suck for folks in rural areas or smaller cities. Using outdated CDMA 1xRTT and EVDO tech and refusing to shut it down--I'm on the fence about it, as I have a few older phones I keep active that would be paperweights without CDMA since Verizon is shutting theirs down along with AT&T killing GSM so no roaming. I'm a fan of keeping stuff till it breaks so a carrier having future support is important. BUT, this can end their business.

Remember when BlackBerry stuck hard to their fans' demand for no app store (eventually caving with the paltry selection on App World), claims that 'no one needs anything other than e-mail', and never moving forward? RIM has become R.I.P..

Since Sprint is ever slow to roll out 4G or cater to LTE and sticks with old tech, they might put themselves under. Great for keeping old devices yes, but bad for business and large LTE/5G demand.

Sprint and their MVNOs Boost, Virgin, etc refuse to allow roaming onto an LTE network too, even Verizon's, even though they share some common tech for now. No roaming other than with their own partners. Lose CDMA you lose service.

How do you like it? I just got Xfinity Mobile on Christmas. Got the iPhone 11 for 250.00 off for switching. I guess since I have the mobile protection we can upgrade every 12 months.

hi

i love it i ended up getting a iphone 11 not the pro models just iphone 11 and a apple watch S5 my bill is around $100 thow them

I switched from AT&T to Verizon a couple of months ago, due to AT&T doing some network “improvements” that resulted in a complete loss of data connection in my office. No complaints so far.
