I have most of the boxes for anything I buy thats is over $1k. The main reason is not for resale, but because there was a rash of break ins in my city. they caught the guys, but the police found out that they were watching what boxes people were throwing away in the trash, and breaking into houses that had the boxes of expensive stuff in the trash. Now I wait, break the boxes down and store them. Then cut them up into smaller pieces, and throw them away in the trash/recycle.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but its not fun buying cool stuff, and having someone break in and steal it.

I DO.. i have 7 boxes.!!!! the original iphone box 2 repair boxes for the first iphone...then my 3g iphone box..then 2 repair boxes from that..and one apple care box they sent me i didnt need

I save all my boxes. I have:

- Apple Store bag (for my iPod touch replacement)
- iPod touch 16GB
- iPod earphones (2x)
- iPod FM Remote
- iPod 5.5G 30GB
- iPod mini 2G 6GB

I don't have a Mac of my own, so all of my boxes are iPods or iPod accessories. Though I'll keep practically anything with an Apple logo.

Looking at the box for my PowerBook 15 and the box for the MacBook Pro 15, the boxes have really shrunk over time. So today, it is much easier to store the boxes than before.

Well, I kept all my 1st generation iPhone boxes. Glad I did because i sold the first two 1st generation phones and now I have my last 1st generation listed on ebay now.

I will also be keeping my 3G boxes so when next years phone is realesed, I can sell my two 3G phones.

I also have my boxes from all four Macs.

I keep the boxes so that I can resell the items on Amazon when I buy the new products that come out.

I ditched my Mac Pro box though, it just took up too much space and besides I will just hand that down to my daughter when I get the new one in a year or so. You have to start your children out right with good equipment...

I keep ALL my boxes, with every piece of plastic they came with. I find that keeping them makes it easier to return, warrenty, or sell. never a good reason to throw one away

I keep all my boxes for anything electronic I buy. I do this because I don't live in the best neighborhood and I don't want to give all the thugs and scumbags any ideas.
