After I started using bluetooth headphones last year, I can never go back to traditional earphones. I have a pair of B&O headphone for some more serious music listening, and Jaybird X2 for workout and daily commute.

The leisure of leaving my phone in my bag and just have earphones in really free up my hands, and eliminate the possibility that my music will be interrupted when accidentally pulled out the wire. Just my 2 cents - switch to bluetooth earphones!

A pair of $20 wired earphone can achieve the same sound quality some $200 wireless headphone can achieve. Why bother?

I appreciate the benefit of wireless but it is still too early to embrace all wireless.

At least they're cheap. They could have charged multiples of the asking price. Apple has mitigated the pain of this transition.

I just leave it attached to my headphones. No issues. It's secure that way. I do use wireless headphones also but in the case I need the wired ones it's Already to go.

Me, had to purchase another one in Apple today. To be fair its probably in my car somewhere... I hope

i usually use my wired headphones to plug into my computer while i'm at work (or on my ipad at home). i use the dongle when i need to make a call on my phone.

For those wondering why anyone would remove it from their headphones, one simple answer might be because they use their headphones in hardware aside from just their iPhone.

Mine stays attached to my aux cord in my car. I don't have any other use for it since I have some QC 35 headphones.

Mine is connected to a pair of headphones. It actually takes some force to take it off, can't see myself losing it anytime soon.

Question: does the play/pause switch work on your headphones when using the adaptor with an iPhone 7/7plus? I am using it with the Apple EarPods that came with my previous iPhone 6. The volume up and down buttons work but the middle button doesn't seem to register when I click it.
