I had HTC 8525 cant say that I miss that keyboard, it's wasnt that comfortable ... but the only thing it's you cant type on iPhone without looking on it.

Ugh I hate typing texts on a number keypad, I don't know how I ever did it. I loved how I could type messages within seconds on the iPhone with minimal mistakes. I can't wait for July 11. I need my iPhone back.

Touch Screen=Greatness , don't miss physical keys at all when I use my iPhone

Love the iPhones keyboard. Although, just a warning, you will never be able to type the same on a sidekick or blackberry or anything ever again :p.

Wow! Am I the ONLY one to miss the keyboard?

Personally speaking, as a Apple customer that still hasn't found the same value in the iPhone as other models on other networks, I can say that I don't miss the tactile keyboard.

The days are gone when starting a new Word document on your phone and finishing it before the flight is over was common. Though, I'd rather have the keyboard from the HTC Touch than the one on the iPhone, having used the iPhone and iPod Touch keyboard enough to find it slightly annoying.

I have a HTC TyTn, and never use the slide out keyboard, it's just horrible, actually the whole phone is horrible.
I've got an iPod Touch and much prefer to type on that, so I will not miss the slide out keyboard when I get the iPhone 3G.

I am used to the iphone and don't miss a keyboard at all, used a treo this week and the keyboard sucked.

Lets see, I was a die hard Moto Q guy, then a die hard Blackjack guy, and when I went iphone I could never look back.

I can type faster on the iphone then either of my other smartphones. I dont mind looking at the screen, kinda keeps me focused, as I use my iphone for business.

To sum it up I do not miss the physical keyboard.

:apple:

To be honest, although I've had a touch for several months, I haven't used the keyboard much. I'm doing a bit of practicing now, though, in anticipation of the iPhone. I didn't know about the tap and slide before I read this thread, and part of what was holding me back from using it before was the two-step punctuation process, which I hated, frankly. Thanks, guys! :)

Now the biggest peeve for me is the lack of cut and paste, as others have mentioned, but I think it's mainly because we're spoiled from having the full browser, which makes you feel like you should be able to do everything you can do sitting at a regular computer.
