Me and my sister where first and second in line at the apple store in Berkeley, California launch day and we got the only two gold iPhones they had! They where 64gb AT&T.

I paid $1225 for mine today but the 64GB Verizon gold seem to be very limited and pretty popular since its unlocked. I really thought about flipping it but I really wanted it, so I am keeping it. Oh well. Need to sell or return this space gray though.

I have one. Because it's so subtle, the color changes with different lighting. Sometimes it looks deep gold while most of the time it's pale or even silver!

Would people buy my Gold model if the box is open or would the resale value go down a lot? (The Apple employee opened the box to put in the SIM) I'm thinking of putting it on Craigslist and just buying an unlocked one.

Oh, it will sell alright. Which carrier?

Was first in line at the Boulder, CO store for launch. Got a Gold 64GB AT&T for my wife and a Silver 64GB AT&T for myself. Apparently the only 64GB of either color they had.

Count me in!

I got mine on launch day - Verizon 64GB Gold
I saw a MR thread that tipped that the BestBuy.com site was operational around midnight launch day eve (Thurs), with the ability to purchase for pick-up in select stores that had them in inventory for launch day.

Oh and I figured it'd be nice to know that GOLD was used by Nokia, circa 1999-2000, albeit in a limited edition 8890 handset. That phone used to be the best luxury phone that Nokia had at that time. Everything went to the toilet after 2007..(for Nokia and others) Thank You, Steve!

I got my AT&T Gold iPhone 5S 64GB on Monday afternoon at the Coconut Point Apple Store in Estero, FL USA. My white iPhone 4S was due for an upgrade.

I actually got my Gold iPhone 5S 64BG for $194 not including tax and Apple Care) after trading in my iPhone 4S and got a $205 Apple Gift Card toward the $399 Gold iPhone 5S 64GB!

Wow....that's a nice comparison

Went for gold on a whim since the local Apple store got some stock in.
Sitting at home unopened while I'm at work at the moment. I'm starting to think I should have stuck with the black... :p

Jonathan Ive uses iPhones with a white front, right? I assume he's sticking with silver.

Jony Ive is already using the iPhone 6 ;)

I had a 64GB Gold. But...I couldn't turn down the money (people are crazy). I'm a horrible person :(

Dude(ett), if I had a gold and someone offered me a good profit I would've sold it too. It's just a phone and I can always get another one in a month or two.

Jony is probably laughing at how outlandish your statement is, if he reads this. lol

----------

My intention was to get silver; I had a gold in my online cart for store pickup the other day, riding the hype of it all; but then I came back to my senses and chose silver and have been ecstatic with it since!
