I want to Apple Store to pickup the regular size 15Pro but after seeing how nice the pro max is I decided to try it out. I have about a week left to decide if I continue with it or go back to 15 Pro.

I do love it, the screen is big, the keyboard is a joy with two thumbs and the battery life is amazing really. It’s just a better device to work on.

On the downside, it’s bloody heavy, I can feel the pinky fatigue which is not something I ever thought I’d say haha. It’s very hard to operate or hold with one hand only and I do have big hands. It also doesn’t fit very well in the back pocket of a standard jeans.

I think I’ll try the pro for two weeks next and decide which one to keep.

I have the pro and am actually considering the pro max (just reseved one to pick up tonight)

It is the age old trade-off, better battery and larger screen vs. easier one-handed use and less bulk to carry. I had the 14PM last year and it was a burden at times which is why I went pro, however, the 15PM is lighter has rounded eges and is slightly shorter and narrower too so maybe will be more manageable. I am not quite 50 yet but I think my eyes may apprciate the larger screen TBH.

I came to the 15 pro max from a 12 pro. The 15 pro max is an absolute dream for me. It really feels great in hand (and I don't have large hands for a fella). The weight feels substantially lighter than my wife's iphone 12 pro max. Sure I can use it one handed in limited capacity, and yeah my pinky might hurt here and there so I just simply adjust things.

I knew I needed to make the jump toa bigger phone this year. even in a case I've had no issues with weight, holding it comfortably, or fitting into jeans or my dress slacks for work.

I came from an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I upgraded to the 15PM because I missed going caseless (14PM was the first iPhone where I felt I needed a case due to the sharp edges, and it being a fingerprint magnet. My phone before that was the XS Max) The weight is a total upgrade from last year's iPhone. You'll most likely get used to the weight of the 15PM, just as I was getting used to that pinky strengthening machine we all know as the 14PM.

Always had the larger sized phones ever since they became a thing.
Only annoying thing for me is carrying it around - fitting into pockets, etc - but otherwise I prefer the larger screen etc for everything.
I used a shoulder bag while on holiday which was good for putting my phone and wallet in, so if I have no pockets free I grab my bag! lol

Done exactly that....changed from a 15 pro to 15 pro max today after being on 14pm last year.......couldnt get used to the smaller form factor and screen

15 Pro Max from XS Max. No regrets. Don't even notice the weight increase. Fits in all my pockets.

Only thing I've had to change is that I used to carry my XS Max and an XR for work in the same pocket. The XR gets put it my briefcase more often now. Mostly because I don't want to scratch the camera lenses.

Typing one handed and not noticing it on your pocket is great but othwerwise it is a tough adjustment.

I do it every year, lol. A part of me wants to smaller form factor but in reality I miss the pro-max.

I've gone big since XS Max. Iphone X got me ready for this change. I always hated big phones. Now its a must for me. The 15PM is very light to me. Great to hold. Since going big size I barely use the iPad at home. Looking forward to next years PM size if the rumors are true. Doubt it I'll ever down size. My wife uses a smaller iphone 13. I hate that tiny thing. I also don't have issues carrying PM size iphone in my pockets. I don't wear baggy clothes nor super skinny fit. Just right in the middle.

For me, iPhone 15 pro max is light and perfect to hold and put in light material short. 😊
Wish the best for your decision 😊

I went Mini -> 14 Pro -> 15 Pro Max, no regrets here, other than a Mini Pro not existing.

A mini pro with a single 48MP camera, dynamic island, 120hz for $999, I'm sold.

But in the meantime, I don't want the compromised "mid-tier" size. The Pro is the same content size as the mini, cause the mini had higher pixel density. With the Max I at least see extra content on the screen. And with the weight reduction, and slight size reduction, and corner rounding it feels lighter than the 14 Pro (non-max)

I’m in the process of returning mine. I considered a pro max last year, but didn’t wind up going with it because of the weight and size. This year I thought I’d be able to make the change - not much heavier than my 14 pro, so I thought it would be a good time to make the switch.

It was really okay at first, but I used it a lot over the first weekend, and realized it definitely caused hand and wrist fatigue for me. It’s been a couple weeks now, and that has not improved much, if at all. I’m afraid to not go through with the return and wind up not being able to adjust to it, so I am in the midst of it with ATT (though that has been a nightmare in and of itself).

I’m small with fairly small hands, so take my impression with a grain of salt for sure.

I tell myself EVERY year that I'm going to go for the max but never do. I ordered the Pro this year and have had it since launch day. It's great but I still felt I was missing out.

Just took delivery of the Pro Max today. GLad I came to my senses. The Pro will be going back. Whilst I can't comment on long term use yet, I just know it's going to be an absolute joy to use.

What were you using before this? Because the 14 Pro/Max were even heavier. Absurdly heavy. 15s are still heavy as phones go, but lighter than the 14s.

Coming from the 14 PM, the 15 PM is better in every way. Titanium is a big win. Pictures and videos look surprisingly better (wasn't expecting this at all). Battery life is much better than my previous champ, the 13 PM.

Perfect experience so far.

Do you zoom your screen on the PMs or keep it standard?

I’d rather go Pro for the pocketability, but the Pro Max’s 5x optical zoom is a huge draw for me.

It’s a terrific upgrade from my 12 Pro Max in every dimension and I’m delighted with the upgrade.

Went from a X to the 15 PM and couldn't be happier. I honestly don't think the phone is big, it feels perfect in my hands and the weight isn't an issue for me.

I’ve had the “max” screens since the first “plus” and won’t go to any other one for the foreseeable future. I love them.

While I still think Instagram needs to get it together with the battery. Everything else is good on the phone and it’s feels way lighter than the 13pm it replaced. While I don’t think I’d upgrade technologically with what I know now, it’s still a really really good phone. I haven’t experienced the heat issue.

Good luck with AT&T. I'm on AT&T but I only get my phones via apple store. If possible...return to AT&T then just order via apple store.

I agree, if it is a good lens/sensor then 5x is a great FL for portraits, 3x is pretty good too though at around 72mm equivalent I think?
