Unfortunately, I'm still trying to find a 13 inch 2.13Ghz 4GB model locally or on a Web site that has them in stock but have had no luck doing so yet.

I picked up a maxed out MBA last night at my apple store: they had just gotten them in yesterday.

I did. I sold my iPad 64GB wifi+3g. It was nice, it did the job, but I was also frustrated with the things I couldn't do with it. I have wanted an Air since they first came out. I bought the base model 11.6, although I am wondering if I will regret not having the extra storage. I don't plan on using it as a main computer, I have an iMac for that. I'm trying to just love it, which I do. I just feel maybe I should have gotten more storage space.

If you feel this way already....

That was QUICK, less than a day on Craigslist and I sold my 64GB WiFi + 3G. Gotta love Apple resale value. My 13in Air ultimate comes on Tuesday. I loved my iPad but it got frustrating at times and now I need to do light design work and it just wasn't capable.

Pretty much decided to replace the iPad with a Galaxy Tab. Smaller form factor will pair well with the Air and I'll use it primarily as a PDF viewer/eReader (glad I've been buying most of my books from the Kindle store) and for light web browsing around the house. On the road I can use the built in WiFi tethering to get my Air connected! I don't have much experience with Android but from the previews I've seen I think it will fit the bill.

I'm definitely going to try the Galaxy. It looks like Samsung might have done a good job with this. I think they have extensive experience with this type of device. It's also great to see that Apple has raised the bar, so some of these new tablets might just be great devices.

It will be interesting to compare it to the iPad.

I think each will have a use for me as readers.

I never purchase an original iPad, and was just waiting for the 2011 version, however I ended up getting my 1st mac instead, the new MBA!

I'd still like an iPad next year but will have to think hard if I need the MBA, iphone AND iPad.....

It is just me being paranoid, based on a friend of mine who is always "more is better". For what I have it for, and use it for, I feel I will be fine, and I really don't want to spend an additional $200 for a "what if" factor.

I'm debating whether or not I should sell my iPad 64GB + 3G and buy a MacBook Air instead, but I've decided to wait to see much more functionality iOS 4.2 provides. Ever since I got my iPhone 4, I've found that I don't use the iPad much, since the current OS doesn't allow multitasking or unified inbox.

I didn't sell my 64GB iPad but I bought a 13" MacBook Air the day it came out. I could never sell my iPad, I love it too much. The iPad and MBA are very complimentary. I don't see them replacing one another, but supplementing one another instead.

I love my iPad way way too much to sell it. (=

Sold my 16GB WiFi over the weekend for $470 just gotta sell my Dodocase now.

sold my ipad 16gb wifi for £380 (bought 2 months previous for £429)

Bought MBA for £729, so a £350 upgrade?

Not regretting my decision one bit.

I have a basic 16GB non WiFi iPad and virtually stopped using it since I got a 13 inch MBA. The new MBA has reinforced why there are so many things about the iPad I don't like.

I would sell my iPad to get iPad 2 or iPad 3. iPad will not replace my laptop and Laptop won't replace my iPad.

+1. My ipad remains the king for content consumption, my 13" macbook air replaces my 17" macbook pro though for carrying around and content creation. I just enjoy holding the iPad and flicking through pages / etc ... for reading (books, web pages). I don't see me giving up one for the other.

It is impossible to take notes on the iPad in college and although being able to create diagrams is neat it is too difficult to type on. Just gotta decide between the 11 and 13 MBA.

Despite my own tepid reaction to the iPad's performance, I know where you are coming from. My daughter uses her iPad mostly as an ebook reader and she loves it, loves it, loves it. I think that my frustration with the iPad arose from my common practice of posting to special interest forums such as MacRumors. The combination of the iPad's brutal email client and virtual keyboard for data input meant that it was just about unusable to me for posting purposes. In stark contrast the MBA is perfect for the purpose.

While I don't consider it "impossible"... I do agree having a 13" or 11" MBA with an actual keyboard increases my speed to handle business tasks such as email and creating documents. The iPad's issues with attachments and the fact the number keys are always on a different screen than the rest of the keyboard slows down my typing more than I care for.

I sold off my iPad for now but will probably purchase another one when the Rev B shows up as their will be some cheap ones out on Craigslist. I don't care about a camera so I should be able to score a cheap one. The iPad is still a much better option for me to just surf or watch some video/news/movie when laying in bed at night. Consuming content, the iPad shines, creating.. a bit different story. Plus I gotta admit Fieldrunners on the iPad remains one of my favorite games to pass the time :)
