I just upgraded a friend's 7200 (running 8.6) up to a sawtooth G4 running 10.4.11. He still uses ClarisWorks v4.0 for his invoicing.

I wrote an AppleScript to copy and paste the old files to Excel Mac:2004, while he can still open CW in classic mode.

I would use it... if I had it.

:(

I had it on my old iBook G4. I actually liked it for simple documents.

are you serious!?!?! when did they ever make that?? was that around the time of OS9?

never ever never heard of that before. wow.

I'm not sure of the exact dates that it was available, but we definitely had it on the Windows PCs at school in 1998/99. I'm pretty sure I saw an ad for it in more like 1995/96 though.

the final (or close to it) "Educational Version" disc had both the Apple and Windows versions on it. if you bought the retail version at the time, there was no windows version included.

mine says Appleworks 6, Educational Version, Version 6.2.4, and is dated 2002.

works great, use both versions, haven't tried under vista, but runs great on everything else windows. only downside is that the software is getting tough to find nowdays!

I think 6.2.9 was the last version. its the version that I have, and I haven't been able to find any newer.

ClarisWorks and Hypercard were two programs our "technology" class in 3rd grade made us all learn. I don't think I ever used Hypercard ever after that, but I still have vivid memories of it (and I might add, the iPhone SDK reminds me heavily of it). btw, that was about 15 years ago.
