go ahead update to the latest Flash ... it will not hurt your computer ... but you can also live without it as HTML5 and H.264 have all been embraced by sites like YouTube.

Just to add ... I think Adobe is an awesome company ... I have the Adobe CS5 Master Collection that includes the Flash builder software for creating things in Flash.

However I mostly use it for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.

cheers

Kinda going back a couple post, but I have heard that Safari is a non secure browser from a few people. So I have been running FF. I can deff tell the increased usage of RAM compared to Safari. If the statement about safari isn't true please let me know so that I can stop using this damn browser. Thanks!

iv seen an argument about this before. and the conclusion that i came across was safari is just as secure as any of the main browsers. also ff was not made natively for a mac, it was adapted. which is another reason it doesnt run quite as well on a mac.

there is also camino which is supposedly firefox but for a mac. its pretty basic though, i tried it for a minute then deleted it and went right back to safari.

but about the flash, you do think i should upgrade it? im hesitant to because i originally started using this beta version because it drastically lowered my cpu %'s while watching videos. while watching videos my cpu is at like 20% per core, they jump up and down a little from there. but before it was like 50% + each core with the normal flash.

Am I really the only happy Chrome user here? I adore it. I find it to be faster (for me) than safari or ff (this one by far) and many of its features/general layout/functions and the format of everything I like very much.

i liked the look of it, and the performance seemed to be on par with safari. but i dont like how you cant really customize the toolbar like safari. in safari you can add/remove any button possible anywhere on the toolbar.

also not that it matters much but i like how safaris load bar is blue and in the address bar so you can see the progress, chrome just has the spinning circle.

and as someone else mentioned, im not too fond if google using my history for "diagnostic reasons"...google chrome also has a unique browser ID number for each person so that it can identify you.

edit: read from google browser down. pretty interesting, or for more info do a google search of "google knows too much" or something
