My 15 year old son stole my husband's credit card to use on a friend's computer to access some porn sites. So, he is not allowed any unsupervised internet use. Will the parental controls - enabling all restrictions work for us?

Yes. Disabling Safari, YouTube, etc will remove the icons from the home screen completely, and unless he figures out the passcode you put on it then he won't be able to get into those at all.

Are you sure he's not 5? I'm suppressing a smile quite obviously right now...Really a 15 year old is quite mature enough....I'm 15 and I've got some pretty immature aquatences that are even mature enough to handle the Internet. But to answer your question the newest firmware has parental controls for EVERYTHING, that is apps, music, videos, Internet, etc. Plus if you use a router which I amsure you do the router most likely has support or already built in parental controls to block sites.

really?

Okay really? I know that I wouldn't buy my kid a touch if he did that. Maybe I would buy him a shuffle but thats as far as I would go. I think.

My mistake I missed this somehow. Seriously do not get this for him unless he legitimately cleans his act up. I don't know if I could trust someone who does that (I just got my card stolen and I'm pretty pissed and a little more tight with my money and personal stuff).

My mom enabled it on my little sisters iPod... But when the music isn't DRM'ed or properly coded as having explicit lyrics, it makes it hard to filter.
