I did before school ended (last week). It sucked. I'm getting a MacBook Air this summer for next year. iPad + Google Docs = a no go. (my English teacher used Google Docs for our stuff. Hard to explain), and pairing the wireless keyboard every time was a huge pain. Adding cells and such to a table (for cornell notes) is the most frustrating thing ever. An iPad (imo) is a really bad tool for taking good notes or working with documents.

Seems like a lot of people find it useful for class. Does anyone NOT find it useful?

I bought my first-generation iPad used a couple of months after they came out. The guy who sold it to me had bought it to use in college classes. He had some note-taking apps on it. It wasn't working for him, so he bought an HP TouchSmart laptop.

I can sort of see where he was coming from. Getting data into the iPad in a hurry is a challenge for me, too. But I'm old -- laptops were just coming out when I finished grad school.

me, mostly for quick powerpoints when there are group works or presentations, haven't tried taking notes with it yet.
