Who uses Webkit instead of the released safari?

    I find it much smoother and faster to use. Never crashed for me


    Over on safari i have a couple now and then.


    If you have not got it i recommend it

    yes i use it - i like how it has sparkle integration so it's much quicker to grab the newest nightlies

    I use it. It's faster than safari 3 but I heard it's much slower than safari 4.

    It's the latest release of what forms Safari 4. Typically it will be faster, unless there was a bug introduced that causes it to be slower.

    WebKit's pretty darn slick. I hope the changes made in recent WebKit nightly builds make their way into Safari 4... there are some particularly nice ones in the build descriptions. For example, the WebKit team recently made one of the modules platform-agnostic, a change that will make Safari much easier to maintain in the future.

    Other way around. Safari 4 previews are (mostly) just snapshots of WebKit development, while the nightly builds are constantly updated.

    Hate to revive an old thread, but I just switched from Firefox to WebKit. Works beautifully, no crashes or freezes so far.
