It limits your choices for wallpapers. I know someone with a blue HTC One and they get frustrated that many wallpapers clash with the color of the phone.

I don't like the white front, so colors are a no-go for me anyway...if Apple introduced a projectRed iPhone with a black front as a BTO option I'd be all over it.

I agree… I like the gold, but if cobalt blue is offered. that's what I'm getting. All my wardrobe has some sort of blue in it, if not, black.

Most of my wardrobe is gray, and gray and some more gray. I'll have to get the silver iPhone.

I don't want to look like a fashion disaster.

I said a while back that I think the new 5C will basically be the 5S (complete with Touch ID etc), but with a wider range of plastic colours.

When we have our biweekly meetings, all phones are sent on the meeting table in front of the owner on silent with no vibration. Can't do a colored device.

I'll second that. Does not matter to me if the face is white or black, just like the idea of the red case.
