Who was your first ever crush on?

The Dancing Princess in The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm, in 1962. The role was played by Yvette Mimieux, who it turns out was "only" 11 years older than I was.

A girl at my school, a lot older than me so i had to make friends with her younger brother just to find a way to get to her i had to deal with this **** who apparently seized the opportunity and it was all for nothing eventually when she gave me the vast age difference talk, it was devastating at the time but looking back it's still fascinating what having a crush on someone makes you do, i mean during breaks i used to show off with a talking calculator that does mathematics in different foreign languages just to boost my chances, now you're thinking wtf, but back then it made perfect sense.

Sigh.

And what was she actually like, if I might make so bold as to ask? I know what you felt; I'm just curious to know whether you remembered what she was like (and here, I am referring to character, not appearance).

We know you had a talking calculator that 'did' mathematics in a number of different languages, and we know that you thought that her brother was a '****', and we know that she let you down gently with the 'vast age difference talk' and we also know that looking back, ever so slightly ruefully, you are thinking in terms of acronyms expressing crude Anglo-Saxon sentiments……..

I don't think at the time i knew or even cared about her character qualities all i knew is that she looked like a poster girl or how i imagined back then a 'perfect girl' should look like. I remember her being friendly and 'approachable' to talk to.. I should have noted that to my understanding a crush is something that happens only at a certain age of someone's life and as they grow older they become more in control of their emotions and able to dictate who should they have feelings for.
