i'm hearing they're available at most Apple Stores still, but the stores wont confirm that. I dont want to waste time driving over to one if they dont have it
I have T-Mobile and they were out of the color and capacity I wanted so I purchased the AT&T model and stuck my Sim card in and worked just fine. I paid in full though.Thanks. Do you know if i can buy Verizon version phone at store even though I am with Att?
All phones that you buy are currently carrier locked, meaning, all the phones you buy would need to be bought with a phone service from the big 4 (ATT, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile) When the sim-free iPhone X is finally sold, only then you can buy the phone outright without having to subscribe to a new service line. Don't quote me on this, but this is what I know from experience when I bought an iPhone 6.

Yes, that's what the specs say, and is true, but they don't actually let you buy one like that. You have to select a carrier and go through an account verification process before you can buy it. This is for online, not sure about in store but I would assume the same.this is incorrect. even the apple site shows which phone carriers are compatible with the version you want to buy. GSM is only ATT and Tmobile. Verizon comes unlocked for all carriers. This is when paid in full from Apple
I did. Picked up the Verizon model (i'm on Verizon anyways). You can tell them that you'd like to buy it as "Device Only" (full price) and have no issues buying it in full. And yes they don't care if you are on AT&T and you buy Verizon Model.Apologize if this has been asked. For those who went to the Apple Store and bought iPhone X, could you guys tell me if they check your cellular account? Can I walk in and buy Verizon even though I have service with ATT? Thanks.
