Safari's scrollbar doesn't work with my mouse scrollwheel, and the window is not good at remembering where I put it, after closing and reopening.

However, there is no extra ugly crap all over the place, either in the main view, or in any menues, and I like it for that reason.

Edit. I just tried Opera due to some of the positive comments I saw on here. Ugly as heck. No nice preferences screen. No thanks.

To be fair, I do have Opera installed on my Wii, but I hope to never use it. Having a browser on the PS3 and XBox 360 makes sense, but not for the consoles without square pixel output.

I think it's great. The problem with getting people to use it is that most are resistent to change. They have their way of doing thing in IE or Firefox and they don't want to try something different, even though it might be better once they get used to it and learn it.

I love Safari and am using it in both OSX and Windows.

Please, apple, for your own reputation, make some freaking native windows apps, make windows users who use your app comfortable.

I'm going to have to second that. I use Safari on my Macbook at home, but I'm not going to switch to Safari on Windows because it just plain doesn't fit. I'm a bit obsessive about that since I do design work, so visual inconsistencies really bug me. But why go to the extra effort to make it work like an OS X app in Windows? I love the font smoothing in OS X when I'm using OS X, but please use the Windows font smoothing when I'm using windows, please!

While the security issues are certainly a concern, I have to say that Safari for Windows has made up my mind for me on switching to Mac for my next computer. It is fast as hell. For example, it can take a good 30 seconds or more for a page on Digg that has lots of comments to render in Opera or Firefox. In Safari, it takes two seconds. Two freaking seconds. I have not experienced any major problems with the browser so far. I am very impressed.
