whoa!! new Matrox card!!

sounds like the new Matrox card will be just what Apple needs.

i was also wondering how long it will be before the matrox card makes it into the TiBooks? or will it be just too big? will Apple keep ATI cards in the TiBooks? we'll probably just have to wait and see.

I've never heard of a mobile Matrox chip before... I think in any case it would be a couple years before a chip of that caliber were put into a laptop, for power consumption, heat, & complexity issues.

I hear so many great things about this new matrox card...but what about pricing and availability?

Should I buy the ATO 8500 now, or wait for the matrox? It is going to be like their RT Mac card? I don't feel like spending a grand on a video card, no matter how much butt it kicks.
