Hello All,

I have a MBP 2.33Ghz Core 2 Duo (2007) running Tiger. I would really like to be able to apply whole disk encryption to my computer, but the only program I found offering WDE for Macs is made by PGP, and it only works on 10.5 and above.

Does anyone know of a WDE program for 10.4? Even if it's not 256 bit. I would settle for 128 bit. And yes, I am aware of FileVault, but obviously that is not WDE.

Thanks in advance!

That is going to slow your computer down big time. Best of luck in that endeavor.

Yeah, thanks. I'm aware of the downsides of WDE. One of the upsides, however, is not having my life temporarily ruined if my laptop gets stolen or lost. I'm living in a kind of low class neighborhood right now and I'm worried everyday that someone is going to break in while I'm out and steal all my electronics. I can afford to buy a new laptop, I just don't want to have to deal with changing all my passwords, credit cards, etc.
