wholy crap macbook pro

Congrats and welcome aboard! I very rarely get to use "Welcome Aboard" makes me wish I was a pirate...

Good luck, start using everything and get a case for it ASAP! Sad to spend that much on a computer only to have it get scratched up! Or worse!

Personally, I would say figure out how you want to use it...games, graphics, windows or no windows, video, audio...so many choices so few hours in the day! I'm missing mine already and its only be a few hours since I used it!

Its addictive, make sure that you get the patch! ;)

I don't think many people run Windows on their Mac, but it maybe useful to a switcher like you. You'll have to purchase a full-retail copy of Windows to do so.

Here's a few more apps I think you'll like:

VLC--Plays just about anything.

smcFanControl and MainMenu are very handy, and I think someone's already mentioned them.

If you like MS Office, consider iWork. I prefer it to Office, and I think it has better themes and whatnot.
