So we bought a new iPhone 11 for our daughter and are planning to get the $400 trade-in credit. We shipped the iPhone X back to them yesterday. However, I found the SIM card tray from the X on the table. I apparently forgot to put it back in the phone, after removing the SIM card. Anyone else had experience with this, will they even care? TIA.

I'd contact whoever it is you sent it out to and ask them what to do. They may just say not a big deal or give you another shipping label.

It's going directly to Apple. We bought the 11 from the Apple Store. They shipped us the plain brown box to send it to Carlisle, PA.

Get in touch with them by email or phone and just confirm.

It's a small component that is easily made/replaceable so you may be fine, but worth just checking for sanity I would say.

I texted with Apple. They said it shouldn’t affect trade in value, but wouldn’t explicitly say for sure. They would let me know if I need to send that little piece in. No worries. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.
