This may have already been posted, just wondering if anyone else is gonna buy the iPhone 4S and within the next year or so get the next iPhone 5. I am.

Just some fun post, while impatiently waiting for my iPhone 4S.

If at the time I can afford it, probably.

I think it would be hilarious if the next iPhone looked exactly the same as the 4/4S.

Me, that guy who posted above me, the guy who posted below me, tons of people will. People love the latest and greatest, especially within Apple's cult following. I use my Iphone more than anything else in my life, so I want the most capable model out there. Really looking forward to having my new personal assistant with the 4S.

No I wont, because I wont be eligible for an upgrade yet.

I needed a new phone because i'm currently using a POS Android phone, and i didn't want to wait until next year for the 5. I plan on buying a case like the Commuter from OtterBox for my 4S and selling it in mint condition just prior to the 5 announcement. That way i should only have to pay £150 or so to get the iPhone 5.

I get an early upgrade from Verizon in Oct 2012 (preordered my Verizon Feb this year)

so Im stuck...get the iPhone 5 or the iPhone 5S...assuming thats what there going to be called an the 5 is coming out in 2012 and the 5S is coming out in 2013.

My 4S will be my first smartphone and I'm purchasing it with the only upgrade discount I'm granted through my carrier for like the next two years, so... Yeah, I think I'll wait and see if the next iPhone is actually worth another $700 before I decide to throw that kind of money down on it.

I know we are. We have a family plan so we just rotate phones being upgraded and give the kids the old phones and we get the new iPhones.

I'm not letting a carrier contract stick me with anything. Between selling my old iPhone and saving my pennies, I'm buying the iPhone I want right at Launch Day, and screw the carriers! :apple:

I buy one every year so count me in. iPhones hold their resale value extremely well so I don't think I'll be pay much out of pocket for the next one.

I'm paying full retail for the 4S, but by the time the 5 rolls around I'll be eligible for a discounted upgrade so I'll definitely pick one up.

come on, most of us know that if we sell our current iPhones specially unlocked, they provide us with plenty of money and usually around $50 on top of that.. why wouldn't i upgrade?

Unless you like to collect old iPhones there's no point on keeping your old iPhone.

Its actually going to be called the iPhone 6.

(1)iPhone
(2)iPhone 3G
(3)iPhone 3GS
(4)iPhone 4
(5)iPhone 4S
(6)???? (iPhone 6) ????

I upgrade every year, have had every iPhone so yes, I will get the next and next and next. My business depends on my phone so my business buys me a new phone each year. I should mention I get the full upgrade price each year too, thanks AT&T. :)

I will get the iPhone 5 unless it's really bad or something. Only got the 4S so I could give me GF my old 4.

At least one of the three lines on my account is eligible each year, so yes, I will continue to upgrade each year.
