Yes but if you were int he market for a 13 the 14 is substantially heavier and bigger. I tried it and it made a real difference to me when travelling. Their m3 release decisions models and configurations are a real pita
Yep, 13" MBA to 14" MBP is a step up in weight, but 15" MBA to 14" MBP is practically the same (about the weight of a Snickers bar difference).

They’ve done the 13 inch users a disservice from that respect. I don’t think I’d have gone for a 15 unless I wanted a larger screen than the 14 inch In a base model

Most people are going for the 15" MacBook Air because of 3 reasons...
#1: Price
2: Screen size
3: Svelte

Most people going for the 14" MacBook Pro are getting it because...
Tie for 1st: Superior display, speakers, and battery life
Tie for 1st: Branding - because it's "pro" regardless of needing point #2 or 3...
2: Convenience (smaller, HDMI port & card reader)
3: Sustained performance under load because of active cooling

The 15" MacBook Air with M3 will narrow this gap for sure.

The 15" MBA, when upgraded to 16gb ram, is only a little cheaper than the 14" M3 MBP. With the former, I get a larger display and a more portable form factor. With the MBP, I get the latest processor and the HDMI port.

Ah, decisions, decisions. Though I feel more people would be better off with the 15" MBA.

Add support for two external monitors without displaylink and new color, and I'm almost ready to jump from m2 air 13" to m3 pro 14".
I was speaking specifically about the base M3 14" MacBook Pro which only supports 1 external display & only in silver or space gray. I'm assuming you're getting the M3 Pro model at the higher price.

They are all great machines, I am just happy to move on from my base 15 air back to the m3 14" - I so miss the good screen! and power!
