iPad Who's still rocking iPad 4?

Just orderd a refurbed 4th gen for my oldest daughter that should serve her well. Wifey has the 4 too and loves it. Nothing bad to report. Sure, it's heavier than my Air but performance wise it's actually fairly close for the most part.
 
I have thought about upgrading many times, but I just can't justify the cost and don't really see a need to upgrade when my 4 works just fine.

I am, its still running beautifully. Had mine since December 2012, have tried the Air and Air 2 and haven't had the urge to move, I am actually waiting to see the Android 5.0 based high end tablets, more specifically the Galaxy Note Pro tablets as well as to see if there really will be a iPad Pro.

If there is no iPad Pro then my iPad 4 will remain my 1st and last iPad and I will get a Galaxy Note Pro.
 
My iPad 4 is awesome. I would have upgraded if I used an iPad more but I prefer to work on conventional systems.
 
Rocking a 128GB iPad 4 Wi-fi model. Still in mint condition physically. Whilst I acknowledge the improvement of the Air I'm waiting to upgrade when Apple offer 256GB as a storage option.
 
I still have every iPad I've purchased. Gradually the number is large enough to leave them in various locations both upstairs and downstairs to be handy.

That said I'm not buying any more. There's simply no reason to replace them. I'll use these till they expire and move on to something else. I get plenty of use from my MacBooks and iPhones, iPads no longer appeal.

Same here. It's my most used device. The bigger screen is nicer than an iPhone (even a 6 Plus) for web browsing, comics, TV shows and the like while still allowing for more maneuverability than a laptop. Of course, any heavy duty stuff I still go to my laptop and if I had to choose only one, I'd get the laptop.
 
Still have mine. Again, no reason to upgrade. I bought it (64gb LTE mode) for $400 at the beginning of 2014 from Macmall. I still have applecare(+) on it until January 2016, and I haven't had an accidental replacement yet.

I plan to keep this until applecare expires, and then I'll thing about upgrading.... maybe.... if Apple decides to make 32gb or 64gb the "low end" model. If not, i'll hang on to this tablet until it stops meeting my needs.

I have already decided, however, that I am done "upgrading" the iOS when 9.0 is released. the last version of 8.x.x is the highest this iPad will go. I am sick of the glitches and bugs, and they have outweighed any new "features" in the last two iOS's.
 
I'm on the 4 and love it. The Air 2 is sexy, but..... the "need" isn't there yet. And that's alright. Some people can't get into the iPad without buying an older, inexpensive model, and the 4 is the best one to be that.
 
I have an Ipad 4 , since December 2012, lovely device, maybe I will upgrade to Ipad AIr 2 but if not , I will wait for the Ipad Air 3,. I think my Ipad 4 will be slow on IOS 9
 
I'm rocking my iPad 4. I've almost pulled the trigger on an iPad Air 2 a couple of times, but the 4 does everything I need just fine. I'll just wait and see what the Pro offers or the iPad Air 3, assuming there will be an Air 3.

My wife has one. Hot and Heavy. 3 & 4 have been worst iPads.
 
I had an iPad 3 and upgraded it to an iPad 4 soon after it came out. To me the iPad 4 was perfect when it came out. The performance, lightning connector, the form factor is spot on. Mine has travelled with me to over 20 countries.

The only downside is the weight compared to the Air and Air 2, but the ruggedness and styling is great, it's such a nice design.

Mine is on iOS 7.1.2, and works flawlessly. I have no desire to upgrade to an Air at this stage. People still comment on it when I pull it out of my bag over 2 years on.

Accessories are cheap on clearance too. I found a tan leather smart cover for AUD$25 🙂

Still thoroughly enjoy using mine but the reloads due to low RAM are annoying, hence why I use my Note 4 for most things.
 
I have the Air and Air 2, after 15 months with the Air and just got the Air 2 couple of weeks ago. My sister has the iPad 4 and I think it's still good for web browsing, you tube and most simple games.

Problem is, try running XCOM, Modern Combat 4, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands or Hearthstone on it. The original Air is fine for all of those, but the iPad 4 shows really bad frame rate. Most people I know would never play most of those games on an iPad having a PC, but I do, so...

The iPad Air 2 is a monster, but the original air still runs everything with great performance, the reason I got it was because I had the money and liked the feeling of its screen, more solid, less plastic, and the laminated display gives a really good sensation when using it. Overall, my Air is still great and my sister don't even notice the difference btw it and her iPad 4, reason she'll probably keep it for another year or two.

My cousin still has the iPad 2 and is very pleased with it (of course he misses the retina display) but for what he does, he says it's fine. I have friends satisfied with their first generation iPad mini. In the end it all comes up with the need for a stronger GPU and gaming, cause internet browsing, you tube, facebook and some angry birds and Worms is perfectly on most iPads. In the end, it all comes down to the retina display.

Still rocking! I would love a faster iPad though, I just have no need for it.. For me I only browse and do emails on it.

I'm in the same boat. I used to be a pretty avid computer gamer for well over thirty years, but in more recent times I've shifted my gaming to mobile devices. I enjoy gaming, but I spend all day, every day, on the computer, and it's nice to separate work and recreation time a little more.

I also enjoy gaming on touch screens. It's more immersing than using a mouse, especially in games like Hearthstone that simulate "physical" games. There are lots of games that work just fine on older iPads, but the jaw droppers typically require as much horsepower as they can get.
 
I too still use an iPad 4 but it is soon to take a backseat as I have placed the order through AT&T for an Air 2.

It is my most used device and I take it to work every day to play on during lunch and even though it handles everything I throw at it, I know that the Air 2 will be a good long term investment. I'm going to enjoy the lighter chassis, faster CPU, 2x RAM and touchID.

This thing has been through the ringer and still looks almost new so it's been very durable. I will miss how much of a beast the iPad has been but I guess it's time. 😎
