I bought the Apple Clear case...I ordered the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and compared them. The Apple case is a bit clearer than the spigen and I also read from some XR users the case doesn’t yellow over time. Stuck with the Apple clear case because the bottom is open on it and makes swiping up so much easier along with other gestures

I have the tan leather case on my 6S and it's held up remarkably well over the 3 years I've had it. The corners have smoothed out over the years but the back looks amazing.

I'll be buying the 11 soon, and there's no leather case for that. Apple never made one for the XR so I assume they'll never be one for the 11. Pity. I'll need to look at a third party option.

Everyone says Mujjo leather cases are identical quality to the Apple ones, and they do make them for the 11.

How are the leather cases?
I have a hard plastic on my device now but I debated getting some type of card wallet case due to my keys being in one front pocket and I use a small front pocket wallet for the other so now with my phone it either means it goes to my back or front pocket and that I have to move my wallet to my back or front pocket which I want nothing in my back pocket and everything in my front Pocket so it too many things in 1 of the two front pockets so I may have to see how these wallet cases function.

Have used Apple leather cases since the 7. Still love the way the saddle brown leather ages and the way it looked with black bezels/still looks with the black screen.
It’s why I wish I had gone space Gray. The green I don’t think would look well.

I have to say that normally these threads are pretty useless but guys you’ve given me a lot of info and I’m thankful.

It looks like they don't have the separate buttons that the Apple cases have. That was a big step forward IMO. The Mujjo cases look great but I wouldn't give up that feature.

What do you mean? I just looked at their website for an 11 case and it has two volume buttons. Is that what you mean?

Are silicon ones really thicker than leather ones?

I usually go without a case (have been enjoying my X that way for the past 2 years), but might consider a leather one for the 11 Pro this year.

Much thicker. They certainly add more protection though but they feel like a brick compared to the leather.

Edit: at least this is my take on Max silicone case. Maybe the Pro only is thinner? The silicone case seems double the thickness of the leather all around including the bulky edges.

Saddle brown with Space Grey

I just got the midnight green. I’ve always used the white silicone cases. Might switch it up this year and go for the green one.

I got a leather case (saddle brown) with my iPhone X. Initially I was scared I’d drop it it was so slick, but as it ages, it develops some tackiness to the sides, so that’s no longer a worry. My son found the same to be true with his black leather case. In fact, he had stopped using it as he was afraid he’d drop it. I told him about my experience, so he gave that a try, and sure enough, it’s no longer slippery. You need to be careful for a few months, but it absolutely gets to the point where its not an issue.

I just picked up the black silicone case for my 11 Pro and I like it! I still wish Apple would not leave the bottom so easily accessible to get scratched, dinged, etc. but I am typically pretty careful. So we shall see.

I have some leather protecting waterproof polish thing that I use on my hiking boots. Every few months I give my leather case a quick going over with that. Use very sparingly. It really adds to the grip, so it's great to brush a tiny bit on a new case. Nikwax is good, although I just bought some generic brand.

This is how my case looks after 3 years of daily use:

I checked out the clear today at the Apple Store. I wasn’t impressed. It is definitely slippery and it adds bulk similar to the silicone. The leather is still the slimest.

I always like to try a different color leather case with every phone release. I was really tempted to get the green this time but I wasn’t sure I’d love forest green. After seeing it today though I wish I had. It’s more of a blue green than forest green. I’d consider returning my red but I threw out the box. I don’t think they would take it back?

I love that color!

Whoa...this post reminds me of Dr. Seuss’s “Fox in Socks”. 😯 It took me a moment to sort out the situation you’ve got with your pockets and it is similar to mine on days I can’t carry a purse or backpack for some reason.

I had an Apple wallet case for my iPhone X. I thought the hinge side of it was a bit bulky.

I liked a Urban Armor Gear wallet case for my iPhone 8 Plus. It was rugged and held a couple of cards (barely). But I don’t see one for the new iPhones yet.

This site has some cases with a card slot built into the back of the case: Nimble

They have the benefit of matching Apple’s commitment to cleaning up the environment and sourcing ethical labor.
