I go to apple store on morning of launch day and make my reservation to come back and get the phone I want every year on launch day

Why line up if and when you already secured one for launch day for home delivery? But yea those days are nice tho, I only did it once for the 6 Plus but after that decided not to do that again.

The people who don’t have a reservation still have an incentive to line up. Apple Stores have stock for walk ins, separate from the preorder/reserve stock.

Correct. You do have to wait but if you there early you’ll get a phone.
