Sorry if this is a duplicate thread.

Who do you think are the worst fanbois? No specifications, just in general.

I think Linux fanbois are the worst.

I think Windows fanboys are the worst, mainly because they have never tried anything but Windows. Usually Mac and Linux users have at least used other OS's

I think Apple fanboys are. Linux fanboys are annoying because they're belittling, but so are OS X fanboys. And at least Linux fanboys always have reasons better than "it's just a better computer", like many Mac fanboys.

Apple fanboys, without a doubt.

Windows fanboys can at least admit that Windows can get crapped up, and Linux fanboys can admit that Linux can be too intimidating for the average user.

Apple fanboys... well, they think Apple can do no wrong.

It kind of depends.

The general nature of Linux fanboyism is kind of unavoidable when you look at the kind of person they tend to be in life. In terms of user percentage, probably the highest number of fanboys viz-a-viz users.

Most Apple Fanboys should really know better, but they are consumed by ego and ignorance at the same time. There is also a subset that strongly resembles Linux Fanboy. In terms of user percentage second highest probably, but more likely to be fanboyed by people who the Linux and Windows Fanboys would look upon with derision due to the lack of meaningful content in their fanboyism.

Windows Fanboys are kind of redundant. Those who may appear as fanboys are more likely to be people who don't know what they are talking about (and who would probably become an Apple fanboy given the chance to change), people who are secretly jealous of the image Apple has, and anti-elitists who have the completely wrong idea what elitism is.

Think the Apply lot just edge it, the belief in a single company, Apple to provide everything, and the whole sort of cult following can go a bit too far sometimes, and seems to get be easy to get involved in.

Apple.

There are no Windows fanboys. There are only Windows users who hate Apple fanboys. :p

Had to go with "Windows Apologists", as Abstract has pointed out, there are no Windows fans! :D:D:D

Personally, don't care which system anyone likes, do what makes you happy and FTW. It's just, I've never been on the receiving end of a Mac Fans tirade of ignorance, have had a few Windows "enthusiasts", ( is that word alright Abstract?), behave badly in my direction.

what would be really interesting to know, if apple planned to create this "cult"...

They're all as bad as each other. Here you have mad posters claiming the Mighty Mouse is the best thing since sliced bread, that nobody needs Bluray because it's a distraction from creative tasks, that a game isn't a game unless it is native to OSX.

But on the Windows side you have people who think OSX is a FisherPrice OS, that Macs are weak and overpriced (in some respects they are but I couldn't find a laptop as all-round brilliant as the MacBook in that price range, no multitouch, not as quiet, not as good display).

They're all ridiculous. The only problem with Mac fanboys is that they're smug, elitist and ignorant. A PC fanboy is mostly just ignorant.
