I think the question should be "who has the worse fanbois?"
And with that ... Apple. Hands down.
 
They're all obnoxious because they each blindly follow an ideology and/or marketing campaign without any real ability to consider the weaknesses of the platform.
 
I think that there are actually very few Windows fanboys. The only true ones are the ones who work in IT or with Windows computers for a living in some way. The others who claim to be so are only doing it because they dislike Apple. They also tend to use Linux at the same time, so they can't really be considered fanboys.

Apple fanboys are the worst by far. They get overexcited about their computers, they're egoistic, they'll just show off stupid flashy features on their Mac and use the "no viruses" argument over and over. Honestly, they're just computers. Each OS has its merits and its faults. I like all three, but I use two (Windows & Mac OS X). I don't discriminate. :)
 
All fanboys are irritating.

Seriously - a fanboy is someone who blindly follows a corporate brand w/o knowing for themselves why they even use the product. They're all equally aggravating.
 
its pathetic how some people flame you for whatever computer you use, seriously some people need to find something better to do with their time
 
Definitely Linux. I swear to God, if I hear one more Linux fan tell me that it's going to take over the mainstream computing market, I don't even know what I'll do!

I wouldn't say that, necessarily. I've known some Windows peeps to get downright nasty if you even suggest Windows has a glitch..

MoonIsDown - I try not to get involved in Engadget comments unless they're giving something away, for that reason. It seems no one is mature enough to just discuss a topic..
 
I was probably the worst Mac fanboi that I knew of in the '90s. I just hated anything Microsoft.

When I got to learn Windows 98 better in 1999, then I started to see that MS wasn't all that bad. I even found people who liked Windows better who knew Mac OS, but never to the level of hating Apple. Apple was, and is, just too small for MS to worry about and most PC users I know are busy just working with their computer which they assume all have Windows XP or Vista on it.

When the PC only person talks about Apple, it's usually with fondness over their iPod. :)
 
From my experience, those who label others as "fanbois" are usually much more annoying than the ones they're trying to put down. So I'm afraid I'll have to go with...
