im trying to watch the press conference and I can hear it, however on screen is just the big Q logo.....am I doing something wrong?

Because you can't hear video.
You might just try refreshing the page a couple of times. Their servers are probably swamped and I *think* it's sent it separate streams or some technobabble nonsense. And audio is smaller than video.
