I'm not sure they'd want to encourage routinely speaking your password out loud.

I mean, everything is possible, but given how unreliable voice recognition is, I can understand why they are restricting it that way.
My bank now uses voice recognition with over the phone banking. As much as I like using voice commands this is something I don’t like. I do not like to do banking with voice recognition.

An intelligent Siri must be an embarrassment for Apple. It's literally years behind anything else.
I don’t know. They have let it languish for all this time when they should have been making other spectacular improvements one at a time. And I know of at least two functions that it used to do that I used often until Apple took them away with no explanation. It could have been better long ago and people wouldn’t be so dubious now. Apple built up a great deal of frustration during those years and didn’t seem to have any shame about it even though it was on all their devices. There is no question that Apple has to get this right this time.

yes, I see your point, makes sense. - The location restriction would of course come down to never speaking out your passcode loudly in a public setting. But in the privacy of your home it would appear safe. But if that type of recognition is overall not as reliable as Face or Touch (which I love).

Who knows: Maybe AI one day will make cough recognition possible … the setup procedure would be exhausting though 😊😄😊

No way they will delay it. It might now work right but they will release something and say its in beta. They messed up the first time with big promises they could not keep so doing it again would be disastrous.
Still so sure about that😆
