Why are all the cases so uninspiring?

First of all, Hi everyone!


It's really hard to pick a case that actually speaks to me. They're all just so bland, and the designs don't change a whole lot from one to the other.

We have different textures, material, colors, and what-not, but no one's really stepped out of the norm to create a case that just screams WANT! Maybe they're all trying to come up with that product and it isn't as easily conducted as it is spoken, but it's been a long time and still nothing!


I'm seriously considering starting my own phone case company and hopefully create something very exciting! Wish me luck!

I'm incredibly inspired by this super thin, functional case which protects my phone when I want it to...and gives me my naked phone when I want it.

It just screams WANT to me. I want a zero bulk case that does what I want.

It speaks to me...it says "I'm just a well made, excellent leather case that does the job."

I'm just all inspired to hell by it!

That's a very simple case and offers little protection from falls, but that isn't the issue here.

I'm talking about something that hasn't been done with phone cases already... Something where perhaps two unlikely products or concepts come together to create an exciting phone case. Think outside the box!

Then you can consider making the first Dustproof case. Slim but covering all buttons, holes etc leaving no dust to pass inside.

OP, sorry but if you can't find any case that you can enjoy out of the thousands of cases out there may I suggest you have bigger issues than finding a case?

Good luck with your company..... Don't worry that most companies fail and go under in the first year.... I'm sure with your decisive nature it will be a great success.

Unless you want real protection from cases such as an otterbox, etc; the majority of cases are useless and provide false security in the form of so called protection. They fool you in thinking the iPhone is easily damaged and to buy their case because they have figured it out. Naked is the way to go, as the iphone was designed to fit in your hand perfectly, and cases and bumpers just make it more clumsy to hold. I tried different cases for a few months, and all they did was make my wallet lighter and my iPhone heavier.

I like the Switcheasy products but prefer ambiguity to be the most defining characteristic of my chosen cover/case.

Gentlemen, there's no need for animosity among us. If i say that i'll create a case, then i will do it. Don't sit there on your bum and claim to know how my time is consumed when posting on this site takes no more than a couple minutes of my time.

I agree, the phone does feel a lot better without a case. It is also quite durable and can take a lot of hits, most of which don't even leave a scratch that can be seen clearly.

This is why i'm actually shifting focus and want to make the case FUN. I want something that everyone will want not just for its protection or functionality, but also because it's a lot of fun and can do more than just serve as a phone case.

What color are your cases and what will they be made of. Are you taking orders for them, what do they cost. Can I get my Senior citizens discount. How will you ship them. Can we order more than one and if we do not like them will you take them back and pay the shipping. Will they be $19.95 as seen on TV.
