Why are people suddenly so obsessed with icons?

Frankly, people have been obsessed with the design of icons for quite some time. The icons in iOS 7 aren't exactly what I thought Apple would produce but such is life.

I don't mind the icons, I just hope they don't use as much white as we saw in the demo.

Why are you obsessing over other peoples obsessions?

It's better than obsessing over my own!

Because most think they are bad.

Because inconsistency will confuse new users.

Because many Apple fans wonder if Apple has lost their way without Steve Jobs.

Because designers know about complementary colors.

Because they make it look like Apple has lost their design taste.

Because it shows a lack of attention to detail that Apple is known for.
