Why are the Apple leather cases so much more on Amazon?

I was searching for them on Amazon hoping to find it a couple of dollars cheaper.. turns out they're around $55-$60. Anyone know why? In that case it'd be better to get it from Apple themselves or Best Buy.

Mark up retail price, over wholesale price(lower). But Apple does not sell at wholesale price that I know of. So third party vendors on Amazon or eBay can only mark up price to make any profit.

Cause there are people that have access to Amazon, but not an Apple store or a Best Buy, and since there are no authorized dealers or Amazon stocking the item directly, the prices can be whatever the marketplace seller dictates.

Since Apple doesn't sell there, there is no need to sell at MSRP. If everyone sells $20+MSRP then people will pay it, especially people who have Amazon credit or Amazon gift cards.
