Why are there 2 Dictionaries folders?

I noticed that some of my custom-made dictionaries are in User/Library/Dictionaries folder, while others are in SSD/Library/Dictionaries folder.

Why? Is there a difference? Should I rather keep all of them in the same folder?

Home is everywhere and nowhere.

The ones in /Library Dictionary are installed by default, the other in Users/Library/Dictionaries are the Users dictionaries which are not there by default, they are the ones created when you add words to the Dictionary.

Makes sense, thanks. Though apparently I put most of my own dictionaries are in the SSD/Library/Dictionaries folder. Should I move them to the other folder then?

If there are more Users on the Mac and want to use them, yes, if not better put them in your own Account, it if safer there if you need to reinstall, that is, if you have a backup.
