Why are webcams so crap?

Just like I don't need to see the Porsche Cayenne in every colour to think it's ugly.

Although, luckily for you, it is only made in ugly colors that complement its ugliness. 😀

The iSight is great, but had one not came built into my Mac I would have not paid that much for a separate one. Back in the day (circa 2002) I bought a Compaq that came with an Intel webcam and it was pretty good (for the day).
