Up until yesterday I was able to visit www.iCloud.com and log in without any problems. Since yesterday afternoon everytime I try to log in I'm now getting the following error message:

Connection Error

iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server.

Any ideas what this is or what I can do to fix this???

Works for me... try clearing out your browser cache and delete your cookies.

Does it work if you use another browser? This will help determine if its a problem with the web browser or something else.

No it doesn't work with Safari either. It was working fine with Firefox up until yesterday afternoon.

On the phone with Apple the first representative has no idea. Waiting for a "Senior Apple Advisor" now.

No offense guys but I'm not asking if you are having problems. I'm asking if anybody knows the potential cause of my issue.

Then I don't have a clue. Hope Apple can sort it. Post here when you get an answer, it could help out people with the same problem.

It's working again. They had to reset something on their end and have me reset something on my Macbook Pro and now I'm able to log in again.

Do you have any more info about WHAT had to be done? I have the same problem on my Macs. First it was just my iMac and not my MacBook Pro, but now it's BOTH. I am NOT eager to sit on the phone with Apple Support, which I don't have free service to consult.

I have the same problem. The problem follows the user account. Definitely not the browser or even the laptop. On the same laptop I can sign in no problem as one user, but get the error for a second user.

Almost certainly something at the backend related to the user account or hosting location.

It’s really annoying. I’m glad to know it’s “not just me”, but this crap should not be happening at all.
