Why did Apple decide to only launch 2 colors?

Is it just so all those people have to go to 256gb and they get more profits? That doesn’t seem like an Apple thing to do, specially when they don’t need the money.

That is a very apple thing to do. They put their prices up as high as they can get people to pay for them.

Probably to simplify logistics. We only had two other colors up to the 4S. Plus the X is intended to be a higher end model to the mainstay 8.

in reality, the 8+ is only $100 cheaper so i don't really see how one is higher end than the other you know...

Yeah, if you're comparing a fully specced out 8 Plus to an entry-level X. Also $100 is a 10% difference. It's not a luxury item like a Rolls-Royce Phantom or Richard Mille watch, but it IS a higher end iPhone.

Well why didn’t they do that for the ip6+ 6s+ or 7+ size models for that matter...

Maybe after selling tens of millions of the models you referred too, Apple got a better matrix of what the majority of customers actually demanded the most and narrowed the choices accordingly.

It's like storage capacity, you either go 64GB or 256GB. People ask, why not have a 128GB? It's Black and White/Silver. There is no in-between.
