How else am I going to remind myself that I'm using a Macbook Pro if I don't have the logo at the bottom of my screen?

But why? I know it may be sarcasm but I always wanted Apple to remove the name on the screen.

IMHO it was ugly in the first place. I always saw it like this big stickers with the model name on cars… “only when it’s written on it, it’s inside” ???*

*[of course the subtle fruit reference on the backside of the lid might be overlooked by some now and in the past and, yes, there might be owners of the new models which will rightfully lament that they now have to turn it over in case they have forgotten what the name of the thing with the integrated keyboard is, they’re sitting in front... so ANOTHER negative strike… this one regarding “ease of identifying the model family”… Tim Apple, what have you done!!! ??? ]

My 15" 2013 rMBP doesn't have the branding on the bezel either!
Yeah they added it back in in 2016… maybe they add it back again in 2024. ? (although I think we will be going real-bezel-less by then!)

So people don’t have the blur it on tv and they get the free advertising through the notch.

Apple doesn't put the names on any of their products these days. It also saves $0.01 per unit manufactured, which goes straight into Tim's wallet.

This is the huawei Matebook pro. Look familiar?! Now tell me that when you see someone using a new Notchbook pro that you won’t instantly recognize what computer it is and who makes it….. that is your answer. Apple could have found other solutions, but love it or hate it, the notch has become iconic.
