In Oct. I j/b my 3G w/ Blackra1n rc1 and it's cool. My iPhone's been crazy lately, so I restored it (3.1.2) and figured I'd re-j/b it tomorrow or something.

Weird thing is my battery percentage still shows up. I know that it's a setting on a regular (non-j/b) 3GS, but I know it's not an option for the 3G.

So, what gives?

If you DFU restore it will go away.

DFU is irrelevant to whether it shows up or not. If you do a regular restore and then set up as a new phone it will disappear; if you do a DFU restore and then restore from backup, it will be preserved. The important feature is not what mode you restore in (regular, Recovery, or DFU) but whether you set up as a new phone.

Thanks for the replies.

For the record, I don't want it to go away, but I'm glad it's not an anomaly.
