It is now officially my first time in power reserve. I have had the watch since opening day, and have had many days of 5 am to 3-4 am, and never hit reserve. Today I hit it in 9 hours...

It really seems odd that this has started happening. Man, I was fully comfortable with not having a battery complication on my watch face, but now I'm starting to second guess that.

After my unusually low battery life yesterday (10% at 7:30pm), looks like my watch is back to normal today... 9:45pm and still at 67%.

Happened to me just once so far. It was the day following my WOS2 update. Un-paired and re-paired, and it's been good ever since.

I'd really like to see more detailed Usage stats so I know which app ran wild.

Mine went into low power mode yesterday. When I got home I fully charged it, and it was draining just as fast as it did earlier in the day. So I un-paired and re-paired it. That seemed to have fixed it. Today off the charger at 5:30 am it is now 9 am so, 3.5 hours and at 96%.

My mysterious battery drain after updating to OS 2 turned out to be because the charger's USB connector was partly pulled out of the wall charger.

As with most mishaps, I'm blaming it on the cats.

Happened to my wife yesterday and just happened to me today. I suspect it might be the new Facebook Messenger app on the AW.

I swear I'm pretty sure I woke up at 7:30am this morning and my watch had 100% charge. By noon I was down to 25% and I had hardly used it. Not sure why this happened. I reboot the watch and it seemed to take longer to startup but everything is good now.

Not in my case, as I don't have FB Messenger. I had guessed it was Dark Sky's complication… uh… "complicating" things (ha!), but I'm not even sure it was a culprit.

Well, this just happened to me for the first time since owning the watch (early July.) I have os2, had already done the unpairing/re-pairing, and was experiencing great battery life. Today I took the watch off the charger at 8 AM; 3:32 PM I got the haptic with "10% left". Can't figure why - haven't done anything different.

After his happened to me, I fully charged it after it went into power reserve mode. It still required me to unpair and repair. Now I have better bettery life than ever before. This is weird...

Happened to me this past week, too. Battery warning at 10% came up after 7 hours of wearing my watch. I rebooted the Watch immediately and it still died within an hour of reboot. I then put it on the charger till full and it's been fine since.

Probably something got stuck, but I had not used any third-party apps that day. Just weird...
I've had problem too. I do know Apple has had store problems with iPhones not being able to connect to store or do backups using ITunes. Seems funny watch would also have problems too at same time.

Happened to me yesterday, I've had the watch for a little over a month now and never had issues with battery. Last night after about 11 hours i got the 10% warning and at 5% I went into power reserve. It rebooted after a little while of charging and today has been back to normal. had it on for about 9 hours and at 67%

So I have a SS Apple Watch and I've been getting excellent battery life on it. On days where I use it heavily (exercise, GPS, messages, emails, etc) I usually end the day throwing it on the charger at about 40% battery left. Well I've had it on my wrist today for about 10hrs and the battery is currently at 12%.... strange. especially since I have actually had a very light activity day. i've sat around the house all day and went to the store down the street once. not doing anything crazy on my iPhone either, no restores or resyncs or downloading any new apps or anything. just basic internet surfing and playing the occasional hearthstone. i've barely used my watch today.

any idea what's going on with it? (and it was at 100% when I took it off the charger this morning)

It may be that the battery has reached end of life and simply needs replacing.

I'm sure that Apple offer a battery service for a reasonable fee.

Yes, that's really likely when an average charging interval would be once daily, most Li-ion batteries will hold 80% of their original charge after at least 500 charge cycles (Apple actually quotes 1000 cycles for the Watch battery), a daily charge usually won't be a full charge cycle anyway and the watch has only been out since the end of April.

Happened to me again today. Think it was Twitter app. I looked at was at 20%. Had watch on for only about 5 hours. I don't use FB on the watch.

Don't have facebook or facebook messenger installed on my phone or watch, and my battery randomly tanked yesterday. Usually when i get home from work i have 65% left. i had 4% yesterday and it's the first time i had to charge it twice in one day.

It may be that Apple are using a new kind of battery in the Apple Watch that has a very short life; hence, all the reports of the poor battery life suddenly.

I would advise you to return the Apple Watch and ask for a replacement or refund.

No.

I had one day with a major battery drain, and all the rest have been fine.

My AW's worst battery day happened to be the first full day after upgrading to WOS2. This was within the first couple days after the public release.

If the battery was truly toasted, it would have continued getting poor life.

Not sure if this is bad sarcasm, trolling, or just stupidity.

After I got a message about my watch getting an update about security if I lost the phone....it has been getting maybe 6 hours between charges, used to get 1- 1.5 days without charging before

I'm back to normal today. Have had on for 14 hours and at 57%. Pretty sure Twitter app spinning.
