So i got my iphone 16 Pro and it came with iOS 18 installed as expected. Yet when when I went to software update, it gave me an option to update to íOS 18 (not 18.0.1 or something) - size of update was around 2GB. Anyone else get this? What was the point of this update? I went ahead and updated it anyway, and iOS still shows as 18. Weird.

The update said it was important bug fixes and security updates for all iPhone 16 models. Mine was only 427.8 MB for both of my iPhone 16 Pro models.

The real reason was to get them to the lastest GA release from Monday the 16th as @NotApplicable & @CMoore515 indicated above.
