So this afternoon I'm sitting in my office. I use a Siri command on my Apple Watch Series 0 to turn my light in my office on, and right after that (like the same second), my 3:55pm meeting alarm went off.

It crashed my Watch. Sort of. I got an Apple logo, but the Watch was still showing connected to the iPhone, so I'm guessing it was a respring of sorts. However, while it was showing the Apple logo on the screen, I pressed and held the long power button on the side of the Watch, and it this crazy siren sound played - quite loud, from the Watch. I let go of the button and the siren stopped. I pressed the button again and the siren sound started once again.

What on earth?

Eventually it just loaded back up fine from the Apple logo.

Does anyone know what this siren sound is?

Mine just did the same thing as I was trying to restart it.

Weird. Ever done it for you before?

Could it be related to this:

I'm thinking (I don't know) that maybe if you long press in the middle of a boot it sounds a siren to at least attract attention to the "emergency" that triggers that? Total guess, that.

I've no idea. There was an Apple logo on the screen at the time, and I just pressed the long button...

So two of us with Apple Watches who've never had this issue before, suddenly develop siren sounds on the same day?

Weird...
We have been chosen.
[doublepost=1480568110][/doublepost]I also have no contacts on my watch all of the sudden. All my text messages just have the numbers showing. No names. I'm doing a restore tonight.

Weird. Mine hasn't done that, thankfully. Maybe try rebooting one/both devices?

It sounded like a bomb-raid sound from the 1940s. Just a very odd sound to get from a watch. Does SOS emergency make any siren sound?

I've never tried it myself because I don't want to make a 911 call and send an emergency text to my 3 SOS contacts, but I've read others say that it starts "beeping" as a countdown to SOS. Maybe you goys are triggering an actually SOS siren when the Watch is in a unique state where it's not actually connected to the iPhone, so it can't place the call?
