Ecosystem, sound quality, consolidation of configs and services (I used to have AM and Spotify, and every time I did anything with the smart home I’d have to set it up on HomeKit and on Alexa - was a pain).
Oddly enough one of the biggest reasons I switched is because I was tired of Echo’s not being able to hear me over the television, having to wait for a quiet part or yelling louder and louder over the tv so it could hear me. HomePod + Apple TV will actively cancel out the tv noise so I can speak normally. I almost got a Sonos beams for the same reason but it seems to be a bit of a mess so I’m glad I went for the HomePods (I have 6 of them now). Hoping for a mini because it’s hard to justify $350 for each bathroom, I still have Dots in there.
