Why do I always need to repair disk permissions?

Okay this is bugging me, very often my computer will refuse to boot up when I reset it, and then I will have to boot it up from the install DVD to repair disk permissions before it is fine again.

What is strange is each time I check the permissions on the disk there is bound to be some errors. Why?!

Could it be the HD is damaged?

I remember you saying you were having problems with it in another thread.

Hmmm... I have no idea.

I was thinking more like it is something software related.

You may try Archive & Install, and see if that helps. If not a Erase & Install should fix it. This is only if it software related.
