Why do I get notifications in airplane mode after every update?

After the last several updates on my AW4, I get calls/notifications even with airplane mode turned on. I have to go into the settings and toggle a bunch of crap to get it to stop. Anybody know why this is? It seems like every time there’s an update to the operating system I have to go through this.

I haven’t encountered this myself. Which settings did you have to revert so that others could compare?

With the calls, could this be related to some VIP person calling who might have a different way of being handled by the iPhone and watch? Just a guess of course.
