Am I doing something wrong with Dashboard?

When I use the dashboard widget to listen to music(from last.fm I think) it works fine. HOWEVER, once I make the music widget disappear from the screen I run into a problem when I want to display it again.

First of all when I click on Dashboard to display the widgets again the music halts and the music widget gets reset. This means I can not get the name of what was playing which, many times, is the reason I tried to redisplay the Dashboard anyway. Secondly I get an error message:

The application DashboardClient quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the Flash Player plug-in.

Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

Is there some setting I need to change or am I trying to redisplay the Dashboard widgets the wrong way and that is why the music widget is stopped and reset?

Is there a log somewhere that shows the names, etc, of the music I have played through the Dashboard widget?

Sounds like a problem with your widget. You can always look at the logs under About this Mac ->More info->Software->Logs->error and sytem logs. Dashboard should not be crashing.

Apparently this issue was a limitation of the widget. They updated the widget.

"That’s New in this Version
- Music keeps running on dashboard reactivation"

I installed the new version of the widget, 1.1, and now it does not manifest the issue I described when I started this thread.
